腿疼腳無力 原來是脊椎腫瘤壓迫惹禍

1名20多歲男性，雙腿出現輕微疼痛，原求助於民俗療法，但卻未見好轉，甚至演變成雙腳無力，無法走路，趕緊就醫檢查，透過核磁共振確認脊椎有腫瘤，隨即接受手術廓清，術後患者雙腿已漸漸恢復功能；馬偕紀念醫院新竹分院神經外科主任郭岱宗指出，造成肢體癱軟無力，恐是神經受到壓迫所造成。

神經遭腫瘤壓迫　恐造成下肢癱瘓

若腫瘤不斷變大開始對脊髓和神經造成壓迫，這時患者就會出現疼痛現象，嚴重甚至造成肢體癱瘓；郭岱宗醫師說，神經損傷可能會在短期內快速惡化，因此一旦發生脊髓神經遭受腫瘤壓迫，就應該盡快接受手術切除腫瘤，否則一旦延遲，就可能會演變成雙下肢癱瘓的程度。

脊椎腫瘤　轉移性多於原發性　

郭岱宗醫師進一步說明，在台灣，容易好發的肺癌、乳癌、攝護腺癌等癌症，轉移到脊椎的機率都很高，尤其臨床上，轉移性脊椎腫瘤比原發性脊椎腫瘤更為常見，治療上透過手術切除腫瘤，能進一步確定腫瘤的病理診斷，即使無法完全切除，也可透過化療和電療，進行輔助治療。

出現不明原因疼痛　應盡快就醫檢查

一般民眾當出現肩頸疼痛、腰痠背痛等症狀時，多會採民俗療法推拿等治療，能不開刀就不開刀，但若症狀時好時壞，就應進一步接受檢查較佳；郭岱宗說，若出現不明原因的疼痛、異常腫塊等，應盡快就醫檢查，避免錯過治療期，造成遺憾。
